My name is Kiev. I'm proud to be a purebred Siberian Husky. I was born in 1985 and am owned by Brad.
Some call me mischievous, but we Huskies just like to have fun. Now that
I've entered my senior years, I'm not as rambunctious as I once was, but
I still have my moments. I love people and am very affectionate. I don't
have a mean streak in my body; and I've never bitten anyone, even though
I've been provoked.
My favorite activities are going for walks, being played with and earning
doggie treats. I also like to watch Brad do anything and to lie around outside
during the colder months.
I am a piebald, which is a fancy way of saying I have a spotted coat. As
you can see, my coat is white with several large black spots. My eyes are
brown. My nose is black and red. I'm a neutered male and weigh 49 pounds.
Both my father and mother were champions in the show ring. My dad was also the lead dog on a sled team, well known and liked by everyone. My father and grandfather is the same dog. That's right incest, but we'll skip the sordid details. Because of this accidental inbreeding, I have certain cosmetic flaws such as long guard hairs that would keep me out of the show ring.
My dad's owners already had seven Siberians and two cats, so they couldn't keep me or my two brothers. They successfully found great homes for all of us, but especially me. I got to live with Brad!

This
is a picture of Sapphire, a 1 1/2 year old female siberian husky. She is a piebald,
and while I doubt if we are related, she has markings similar to mine. She is
in foster care in North Carolina, hoping someone will adopt her. Please visit
